Tasty, handcrafted sandwiches! Delicious freshly baked bread, cookies, and pastries. Village Bake House is the perfect spot for a lunchtime meeting as a great alternative to fast food in the Groton area!

Ordered the Pastrami Reuben, with standard pickle and coleslaw on the side (from the choices of coleslaw, potato salad or
antipasto). I was impressed; it’s hard to get a burger and fries for that price at the three fast-food joints down the street from here.

For a smallish shop they have a large selection of salads, wraps and sandwiches, plus soups and various cookies, pies and so on. I stopped by on a whim and am very happy to have done so.

Great Bakery, Awesome Sandwiches, Very Friendly.

This bakery is a great little stop along the way on Long Hill Road. Skip the fast food someday and try one of their handmade sandwiches, w/pickle and pasta salad you should not be disappointed. If you still have room for more, pick up a bakery item to go…they have awesome cookies, cakes and brownies… another top of my list pit stop!

Looking for a quick bite to eat and a good local spot based on word of mouth, I discovered this little gem.  I definitely wouldn’t have found it by just driving by, plus there was road work being leading to
its parking lot.  The building it was located in almost looks like an office type building.

In addition to their baked desserts, they have a wide variety of wrap and salad offerings.  One of the locals that was in there at the time recommended the pesto chicken wrap, so that’s what I went with.

The wrap was warm on the inside and the wrap was toasted giving it a little more rigidity and a slight crunch when eating it.  It came wrapped in foil to keep it warm, then additional with paper and a pickle slice.

A variety of bottled drinks could be purchased.

Tables and seating were small and quaint, but the place isn’t big enough to really support bigger ones.

I was too full to try any of the desserts, but the cookies are sold by the pound and the rest of the display case looked really appealing.

Overall a good experience, with friendly customer service.  I can see why it’s a favorite spot of the locals.

Adorable gem of a find!  Had an excellent Chicken Pecan wrap…very tasty.  The goodies in the bakery case looked house made and delicious!  On top of that, there were “crafty” looking Holiday decorations for purchase through-out.  Definitely worth the stop!

I called 30 min before closing and they were super nice about me coming in. I got a bacon and 3-cheese sandwich that was perfection, especially since it was on homemade bread! My friend also enjoyed her
BLT. My only regret is not buying any cookies, but maybe next time!
